Nancy circles the drain…

This just keeps getting better. This morning I wrote of all the flak San Fran Nan was getting from all sides, and her nonsensical denials, counter-denials and flat out lies. My advice then was to stop digging, you are in a hole. As usual, she did not listen. Now she has fallen back on the old liberal standby, and blamed George Bush. From Hot Air,

“We all share great respect for the dedicated men and women of the intelligence community who are deeply committed to the safety and security of the American people,” she said in a statement issued by her office. “My criticism of the manner in which the Bush Administration did not appropriately inform Congress

That would be “great respect” for the same CIA that she claimed yesterday “misled Congress” all the time. Then she finished with this smokescreen,

“What is important now is to be united in our commitment to ensuring the security of our country; that, and how Congress exercises its oversight responsibilities, will continue to be my focus as we move forward.”

No Nancy, what is important is for you to start telling the truth and taking personal responsibility for your actions. Only then will we begin to “focus as we move forward.” She really should do the right thing and resign, but she is too enamored of her privileges, in particular her private jet, so she will continue to obfuscate until the Dems literally carry her out screaming. It pains me to say this, but it would greatly assist the Dems if she were ousted and replaced by Steny Hoyer. He is much more of a uniter, and certain Repubs would more likely co-operate with him.
