Norah, you ignorant slut…
Dick Cheney’s daughter Liz, and no that’s the other one, debated MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell on the subjects of water boarding, interrogation techniques and who authorized what and when. And when I say “debated”, it was more a case of being “schooled.” It is a lengthy clip, around eight minutes, but it is most definitely worth your time. Ms Cheney has a very purposeful way about her. and I doubt she suffers fools lightly, as the clip shows. It is also a testament to what you can achieve when you are in possession of all pertinent facts and info, without the need to constantly refer to notes, as does the hapless host.
O’Donnell tries to bully-pulpit many times by interrupting or pleading to be allowed to make her point, even when it is provably baseless. Ms Cheney at all times remains focused, calm, on point and at certain times devastating. At one point O’Donnell attempts a “gotcha” when Cheney states that we water boarded military personnel during training, and we don’t “torture” our own, by whining you said “torture”, but she is very quickly, and decisively put back in her box for that pathetic attempt.
The media is trying to ram the ridiculous Meghan McCain down our throats as the “voice” of the new Republican Party, or some such nonsense, when in fact if she ever had an original thought it would die of loneliness. Unfortunately, the MSM did the same thing when it anointed her father as presidential nominee, when his only real qualification was how beatable he was. We won’t likely be fooled again in that manner. Ms Cheney is a breath of fresh air with her calm demeanor, and devastating logic in an openly notorious hostile environment. I would like to see more of her on the national stage. The fools O’Reilly and Hannity would be well advised to imitate her style, but I seriously doubt that have the substance to do so. Imagine the havoc she would wreak if she were to lower herself and engage the angry Rican Geraldo on a substantive subject. A boy can dream, can’t he?
