A horrifying tale of “death panels’ that we won’t be getting, because they are called “pathways” from dear olde England.

Sarah Palin was pilloried for mentioning that death panels will assess whether, or not, it is worth keeping you alive under Obamacare. No way, they hollered! (Remember, Democraps attack what they fear most, which is why Ms Palin is so often in their sights.) Here is a heart-rending story from Britain, courtesy of the Mail Online,

A grandfather who beat cancer was wrongly told the disease had returned and left to die at a hospice which pioneered a controversial ‘death pathway’. Doctors said there was nothing more they could do for 76-year-old Jack Jones, and his family claim he was denied food, water and medication except painkillers. He died within two weeks. But tests after his death found that his cancer had not come back, and he was in fact suffering from pneumonia brought on by a chest infection.

There really is nothing more to be said. They always couch it as “dying with dignity” or “end of life” counseling, but when you put aside the Orwellian double-speak, they starved Grandpa to death. Pure and simple. They euphemistically call it a Care Pathway, but the reality is that it is a one way, high speed route to euthanasia. And in the brave New World there will be little, if any, ramifications for this type of malpractice. While this administration refuses to enact tort reform that would drastically reduce health care costs due to runaway litigation, it would devastate their fund raising ability to do so, please note that you are not able to sue the government for malpractice. The government “cash for grampas” program will get you around $25,000 at today’s exchange rate for a perfectly serviceable old man. Are you absolutely certain that you want the same people who run the DMV, the folks that run Medicare and Medicaid, the very same idiots that run the VA, to be totally in charge of your health and welfare? They will literally have the power of life or death over you. You will have no input, whatsoever. Be careful what you wish for.
