Big Government makes Big Difference in its first week
Wow, just wow! In its first week of operation the new blog Big Government has managed to torpedo a decades old parasitical left wing shake down organization that was, for all intents and purpose, firmly entrenched in Washington circles. In case you have the mis-fortune to gather your news from the dying remnants of the MSM, in which case you will know nothing of this unfolding story, may I direct you to my previous posts. And the icing on the cake came today,
The Senate voted Monday to block the Housing and Urban Development Department from giving grants to ACORN, a community organization under fire in several voter-registration fraud cases. The 83-7 vote would deny housing and community grant funding to ACORN, which stands for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
Of course, the seven naysayers were the usual usefuls idiots, including the pair from Illinois, where young Barry began his own organizing skills with ACORN, and from whom we have not heard word one on this scandal. We’re gonna need a bigger bus! The seven are,
| Burris (D-IL) Casey (D-PA) Durbin (D-IL) |
Gillibrand (D-NY) Leahy (D-VT) Sanders (I-V) |
Whitehouse (D-RI) |
Do not forget the weasels who voted against it, but wavered and changed their vote as they saw which way the tide was running, those cowardly scoundrels. From Hot Air, they were,
Initially, a half-dozen Democrats cast votes in opposition to the amendment. A few more cast votes against it as the rest of the Senate voted, but the tide appeared to shift. More and more Democrats signed onto the amendment, and votes started changing. One male voice could be heard in the chamber saying, “I want to change my vote!” Among those who changed their votes: Tom Udall (D-NM), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), and Herb Kohl (D-WI).
Principled men of unyielding moral character, or wet finger in the wind pantywaists? You decide. Remember them all in 2010, or when they come a-knocking with open palms seeking financial sustenance.
By the way, in extending kudos to Big Government for the scoop, I in no way wish to diminish the accomplishments of James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles who cracked this pustulent sore wide open. Nice imagery, huh? Keep those videos coming. You know there’s more. Coming soon to a theatre near you,
