This story warmed the cockles of me heart…
Hot on the heels of the ouster of Van Jones, avowed Truther and Communist, we have the inspiring story of a twenty five year old young man knee-capping mighty ACORN, so beloved of Dear Leader, and indeed one of his first employers. I first alluded to the story yesterday, but so much more has surfaced, that it now warrants its own post.
It all began when a video was released on the new website from Andrew Breitbart, called Big Government. Highly recommended, by the way. In the video, we saw the aforementioned young man, James O’Keefe and twenty year old Hannah Giles posing as would- be brothel owners seeking advice from the Baltimore ACORN housing office. They brazenly admitted that their intent was to import under aged girls from San Salvador, with whom they were going to staff their new enterprise. True to form the helpful staff bent over backwards with advice on how to falsify IRS documents and claim non-existent dependents in order to game the system. Business as usual for Barry and his organizing chums. Big Government has the audio here.
Naturally, the first thing that Acorn did was to fire the employees and categorize them as “rogue”, which is their standard M.O. The next obvious step was, natch, to brand the intrepid duo, and Fox News, as “racist.” Seriously, does that word have any effect on anyone, anymore? As I always say when I am accused of being a racist, “Hell, yeah, I’m a racist…I love NASCAR.” Stuns them into silence every time. Here’s a part of that letter,
The larger pattern of Fox’s irresponsible actions here is the real news. From Glenn Beck calling President Obama a racist, to Fox inciting racism and threats of violence with the Teaparties, to Fox unleashing a hit job on ACORN the day after an inspiring Presidential healthcare speech before Congress, Fox has long since abandoned any journalistic pretense. It is clear and not coincidence that FOX continues to attack and divide our nation along racial lines. We believe our country is beyond this type of attack and call on all Americans to demand that FOX stop its racist coverage.
Then the head office of ACORN began loudly harrumphing about how this was an aberration, and they would investigate internally (of course) and it would never happen again. Except, it happened again the very next day when the pair revealed a video tape taken at the DC office, with largely the same advice being offered. Oops! Again, Big Government has the tape. This sent ACORN into predictable death-spin mode,
“This video tape is slanted to misinform the public about ACORN Housing. The people who made this tape went to at least five other ACORN Housing offices where they were turned away or where ACORN Housing employees responded by calling the police.
I am sure they will provide the police reports from those incidents, right? Just to recap: telling the truth about being given advice on how to open an illegal brothel, employing underage prostitutes, is a racist smear, even when true, and is “designed to misinform”? Surely, to a sane person, the exact opposite is true? To a sane person, yes. Are they really arguing that because five offices declined to help, an as yet unsubstantiated claim, the fact that the other two bent over backwards is of no consequence?
Meanwhile, in another part of town, Barry’s stenographers and propogandists over at CNN were frantically spinning for ACORN, before the second tape appeared as Mr O’Keefe mentions, again from BG,
So far CNN has only reported on the breaking story on blatant ACORN CORRUPTION from angles that attempt to extricate the government funded “community organizing” enterprise from the extreme crime we caught on videotape.
Then, the other video kind of put a crimp in CNN’s version,
Here’s what I have noticed from your coverage: You brought in the damage control crowd to FRAME the story. Before even airing our damning Baltimore video. You know your audience would turn on ACORN if you showed them the evidence. So instead you put your competitors in journalism in the crosshairs instead of airing a blockbuster report making massive waves elsewhere.
Then, and this is the reason for the title of this post as he has restored my belief in the youth of today, he let them have both barrels,
When you air the raw ACORN footage that is now viral on the Internet, and being played on FOX NEWS and countless talk radio shows, then and only then — when America can see, hear and smell the stench we have exposed — will I subject myself to a CNN hit job.
Sweeet!
All of which precipitated the removal of ACORN as a partner with the Census Bureau, which means Barry will have to find another way to register dead people multiple times. Now, we need to work on de-funding ACORN. On that note, be aware that they have already taken steps to change their name from ACORN, which is now more tarnished than ever, to Community Organizations International. Stay vigilant.
As I was about to publish this post, there was a new development, which is staggering, as this announcement for the attorney for Baltimore City shows,
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years.
Yep, they are threatening to prosecute O’Keefe, not the aiders and abettors of prostitution and child abuse. I tend to agree with Allah at Hot Air on this. Part of me wants them to leave this kid alone, but on the other hand I double dare them to be so stupid as to try.
Interesting times, indeed!
