Door…meet Van Jones’ ass…

The curious case of Van Jones, the green jobs “czar”, finally came to a conclusion, very late on a Saturday night in the middle of a three day weekend.  To the vast majority of Americans, who rely on ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, LA Times or other MSM outlets, his resignation will come as something of a shock for two reasons.  Firstly, they will likely have no idea who he is/was, and secondly, due to a complete lack of reporting over the last few weeks will have no idea of the controversies surrounding this man, that lead to his ouster.  They will conclude, if they are to believe the NY Times, that it is the result of dirty back-room Republican tricks, or the result of a spiteful vendetta by Fox News’ Glenn Beck.  None of that is true, but it is a sad indictment of the media today, that none of them have deemed Van Jones worthy of any ink up to now.  In fact, the only reason they even mention him now, is because they have been forced to, by his resignation.  Now they are in the well-deserved, but still embarrassing position, of having to publicly back-track and report the story they were desperate to ignore, in order to avoid revealing the truth about another of Barry’s incompetent appointees.

So who was Van Jones, and what was his job?  He was a “czar” appointed by The One to oversee the creation of “green jobs” and to supervise a budget of some $30 billion.  With a “B”.  As any thinking person knows, the only reason to appoint a “czar” is to avoid any congressional oversight, and it is a practice Barry has not been shy in embracing.  It seems to be a practice reserved for only the sleaziest of the scummiest, as he is not afraid to ram mere tax dodgers, like Tim Geithner, through the process.  Van Jones is a self-confessed Communist, Truther, cop hating, Mumia  Abu Jamal (convicted cop killer) supporting, anti-Whitey, anti-Israel, anti-oil companies, who founded a magazine that was pro Al Qaeda called War Times which later produced vicious anti everything CDs on which he performed.  One of the key players in unmasking this pile of excrement is Jim Hoft, the proprietor of the excellent blog Gateway Pundit, who has proof and evidence galore of everything that I have referred to in this piece.  You can read it all here complete with multiple links.

Many have stated, including the usually sensible Ed Morrissey over at Hot Air, that Barry may have been duped by Jones.   Utter rubbish.  They were well aware of all his previous outlandish statements, and in fact, Valerie Jarrett who is one of Barry’s closest aides and without whose input I doubt he even takes a leak, was almost orgasmic in her praise of Jones, as reported by Newsbusters,

VALERIE JARRETT, OBAMA AIDE: We were so delighted to be able to recruit him into the White House. We’ve been watching him.

ROSEN: That Valerie Jarrett, one of the president’s closest aides, expressed such enthusiasm for Jones less than a month ago, suggests Mr. Obama was also aware of Jones’ hiring

To be sure, if you think the whole cap and trade fiasco is about conservation, or that  health care reform is about keeping you well, you are sadly mistaken.  It is all about Power.  Power and control over every aspect of your life.  Remember, if you do not participate in the so-called public option in health care, you will be punished financially by none other than the IRS.  But. it’s all about choices, right?  Wrong!  Bear in mind, also, when you consider Van Jones, that “green” is the new “red” as in communism.  As someone once said, socialism is just communism with shorter lines.  And it is coming to a town near you, if you do nothing.

Stepping back for a moment, and looking at Van Jones’ history, I see an opportunist who has been on the lookout for a lucrative gig for a long time.  After being transformed (supposedly) by the Rodney King incident, he found the conversion to Communism to be helpful.  He tried being a regular rabble rouser, by bashing Bush and police, but in Berkeley, California that hardly makes you stand out.  He then tried being a publisher and music producer, but he showed he was no P Diddly/Poof Pranny, so that fell by the wayside.  Then, no doubt inspired by the great snake-oil salesman himself Fat Al Gore, I’m serial you guys, he discovered the pot of gold at the end of the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the world’s population-Greenness.  I have to say, he did quite well with it, too.  I cannot actually cite anything that he achieved or any green jobs he created, neither could the White House in thanking him for his service, but that does not matter.  He cared.  He “felt” he was making a difference. Fool!  Sadly, that is all that is required in DC these days. 

The laughable thing about this whole situation was how easy it was for the aforementioned Jim Hoft, and other stalwart bloggers, to compile a virtual greatest hits of both his stupidity and his radicalness by the simple expedient of Youtube.  Ten years ago, he would have been able to hoodwink us all.  However, in this day and age, where every cell phone is also a camera, it is impossible to get away with anything. That Jones thought he could is an example either of his hubris, or his stupidity, I cannot decide.  Maybe, a little of both.

Finally, let us take a look at his statement upon resignation, because it will get a lot of play in the upcoming days and weeks as the Libtards attempt to re-write history and re-apportion blame, from Breitbart,

“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me,” Jones said in his resignation statement. “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”

In a sense, he is right, except that the “lies and  distortions” that are being used against him, are his own.  Hoist by his own petard.  My regular reader(s) will know that I have been saying for months that Barry would run out of steam by September.  So far, it’s looking good.  Thanks Van.
