Having reached bottom, Nancy continues digging…

Not content with having falsely accused those who denounce Barry’s health care scam of carrying swastikas, San Fran Nan has now moved on to calling them un-American for voicing a dissenting opinion, according to this article from USA Today, that she co-authored with Steny Hoyer,

However, it is now evident that an ugly campaign is underway not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue.

Absolutely true, except that the disruption of which she speaks has been coming from the left, ably assisted by SEIU thugs and HCAN operatives as I wrote earlier today.  So out of touch is she with reality, that this classic projection does not even vaguely faze her.  She actually believes that all those senior citizens, moms and working folk that show up at Tea Party events are on the payroll of “big’ insurance.  She believes it because she cannot conceive of any other way to do business, other than the tried and tested method of buying people off and arm twisting.  So short is her memory that she conveniently forgets that health care was the issue that nearly derailed Clinton’s first term, when he put Hillary in charge of reform.  That was a mere 15 years ago.  Does Botox rot the brain that thoroughly?  As I mentioned in my earlier article the people have been inspired to revolt because of the health care issue, but it was just the tipping point.  They are thoroughly disgusted with all aspects of governmental malfeasance and intrusion, and the sense of entitlement displayed by elected officials.  Health care helped them find their voice, but now they are screaming at the top of their lungs  against all wasteful spending and unnecessary programs.  From USA today,

We believe it is healthy for such a historic effort to be subject to so much scrutiny and debate. The failure of past attempts is a reminder that health insurance reform is a defining moment (emphasis mine)

See what they did there?  Health care reform was not testing well, so they are attempting to rebrand it as “health insurance reform.”  Thereby demonizing the big bad insurance companies.  Similar to the way in which “global warming” became “climate change” to detract from the inconvenient truth that the Earth was not warming, after all.  If your message is not getting across, recast it in a different fashion.  Please read the whole thing, as tone deaf as it is, and pay attention to this telling phrase which is probably more revealing than she intended,

The first fact is that health insurance reform will mean more patient choice.

Sure will!  As in, a committee will choose who gets treatment, and what kind.  A committee will decide who gets referred to a specialist, or who is too fat, or too old, or who smoked or drank too much, to warrant further treatment.  There will be choices, but you, the patient, will not be making them.  Finally, remember that no member of Congress will be a part of this Utopian health care plan, they get to keep the one they currently have.

Vote them all out in 2010.

Excellent round up of Pelosi hypocrisy over at Patterico’s.  More from Ed over at Michelle Malkin.
