It’s getting better all the time…
Does that video scare you? It should. Initially, Barry is trying to sell you the plan by stating that it will enable us to choose. We can retain our current plan, or if we so desire, we can “choose” the government plan. But other speakers on the tape are being much more honest than Barry, admittedly a low benchmark, when the openly state that the whole premise of the single payer system is the eliminationof private health care. Check out this interesting snippet from tax cheat, and general fraud Charlie Rangel, via Bloomberg,
Asked whether the cost of a health-care plan overhaul would be more than $1 trillion, Rangel said, “the answer is yes.”
If he is willing to concede that point, how much do you think it will really cost, in the end? The whole point of the Gubmint plan is to drive the private insurers out of business, which will eliminate all competition, with its concomitant effect on prices. Has there ever been a situation where government has interjected itself between a private enterprise and the consumer and the result was better service and lower prices? Stop! It was a rhetorical question.
As Ed over at Hot Air points out,
None of them talk about “keeping private insurers honest”; instead, they’re openly scornful about private insurance and want to rid us of them as soon as they are politically able to do so. The one couldn’t even bring himself to call the public plan a Trojan Horse, so obvious is its intent.
In less that five months Barry has taken giant steps in his attempts to re-make America, and by “re-make” I mean destroy everything we have worked for. He has taken over the banking industry, by force, he has stolen two car companies to repay his union cronies and is working diligently to cripple our energy industries with cap and trade. He forced through a so called stimulus package, which we were told would limit unemployment to 8%-haha, so quickly that no-one had time to even read it. He has succeeded in weakening our standing in the international community with his constant apologizing for our past “wrongs.” Just yesterday he forced through stringent new regulations on tobacco companies in the name of, what else, protecting the health of the children, when in fact it will just be another regressive tax on the poor. Why the rush? As his credibilty starts to sink, and people realize that they have been charmed by a snake oil salesman, it will become increasingly more difficult for him to enforce his agenda. Pushback may have already begun, as Dick Morris notes over at The Hill,
All this data suggests that Obama might run out of steam just as he gets to his healthcare agenda. As unemployment mounts, month after month, and Obama’s claims of job creation (or savings) ring hollow, it is possible that he will not have the heft to pass his radical restructuring of the healthcare system. The automaton Democratic majority may pass it anyway, but it will be a one-way ticket to oblivion if they do.
