Are the wheels beginning to come off?
I am one of those people that makes absolutely no apology for saying I want Obama to fail. I know there was a big stink recently when Rush even suggested it. The manufactured outrage typifies what passes for debate these days. The main thrust of debate currently is to parse to death, or take out of context, any word or phrase that can be used to silence the opposition. That is the key. No more open discussion, just shouting down your opponent until he is afraid to speak out. It’s the same plan the proponents of gay marriage use to stifle their opposition. The funny thing is, they think it will win them converts. I believe it has exactly the opposite effect. Just for the record. I have never listened to Rush. I have nothing against him, but if I am in my car, I do not listen to talk radio. I am an oldies kind of guy and I prefer to mellow out when driving. Besides which, I have two old classic cars that don’t even have radios, and the engine note is my favorite soundtrack.Â
Back to the topic at hand. Is it starting to go pear-shaped for Barry? I think so. Firstly, we have the Supreme Court ordering a stay on the Chrysler sale, which could lead to the whole Fiat deal falling through.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Monday delayed Chrysler’s sale of most of its assets to a group led by Italy’s Fiat, but didn’t say how long the deal will remain on hold. Ginsburg said in an order that the sale is “stayed pending further order,” indicating that the delay may only be temporary. Chrysler LLC has said the sale must close by June 15, or Fiat Group SpA has the option to walk away, leaving the Auburn Hills, Mich., automaker with little option but to liquidate.
Interestingly, the whole thing has come to a screeching halt due to the efforts of an Indiana  pension fund with quite a small holding in Chrysler. Good for them. Hopefully, this will filter down to the GM deal and bring more scrutiny on The Messiah as he brazenly steals car companies in order to gift them to the very unions that precipitated their demise. They bought Barry fair and square and therefore must be repaid. The problem is, the product range will inevitably become even stinkier than it is, which coupled with the public’s aversion to buying a Gubmint made automobile, will practically ensure the need for further subsidies in the future. Paid for by the you and I, of course. Read more here.
In the latest installment of “Barry apologizes abroad, while lying at home” soap opera, The One had this to say, unconvincingly, when he,
also repeated an earlier promise to create or save 600,000 jobs by the end of the summer.
There he goes with the “create and save” malarkey again. As unemployment hits 25 year high levels, even as 1.6 million jobs have been lost this year, he is still claiming, and a compliant press is reporting, that this totally unverifiable fiction is fact. He does it because he is allowed to get away with it. Listen to this gem,
By now, according to earlier White House economic models, the nation’s unemployment rate should be on the decline.
Well that’s strange! I mean the models normally work so well in other areas like, I dunno, Global Warming or just merely predicting the weather. Not! How could they fail us now? The sheeple are now getting tired of Barry’s “I inherited a bigger problem than I thought” schtick, and are beginning to tire of him.Â
Americans apparently agree. Obama’s disapproval rating on the economy has risen from 30 percent in February to 42 percent, according to a Gallup poll completed May 31.
The fact is, that almost all of the summer jobs he claims he will create will not be sustainable. They are make work projects that will be unfunded once the TARP money is squandered. Palin reminds us of this atPatterico’s. That sound you just heard was the ripping sound of thousands of Obama/Biden 08 bumper stickers being carefully removed from Volvo station wagons across the nation. Pretty soon it will be deafening. Barry ended his fib-fest with this,
“Now, I know that there’s some who, despite all evidence to the contrary, still don’t believe in the necessity and promise of this recovery act.” “And I would suggest to them that they talk to the companies who, because of this plan, scrapped the idea of laying off employees and, in fact, decided to hire employees. Tell that to the Americans who received that unexpected call saying, ‘Come back to work.’”
Really, Barry? That entire paragraph is pure speculation. Name one company. Remember the last time you tried that fabrication on the nation with the CEO of Caterpillar? Slow learner, huh?
Hot Air has some brutal analysis of the numbers. Heh!

I would love to call people back to work! But there has been no bounce in the economy due to the stimulus that I can see here in Ohio. Putting the automotive companies in the hands of the UAW will freeze that economy while the union debates itself on benefits vs existence.
If there were an election “do-over” and before that a republican primary “do-over”; my sense is that ….knowing what we do now……… Mitt Romney would be a clear winner.
